Miss Ireland Emma Britt Waldron placed in the final five of the Miss World contest held Saturday night in southern China.The 21-year-old Irish beauty from Waterford also won the Continental Queen title in European category of the pageant, as well as the Miss World fast-track event.
The winner of the competition was Alexandria Mills, an 18-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky. Emma Wareus, of Botswana, was runner-up.
More than 100 countries are represented in the 60-year-old contest, said organizers.
